EVALUATING STUDENTS' ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEVEL THROUGH INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH EXAMS (EF SET, ENGLISHSCORE) : LANGUAGE ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION
Testing English Language skills cannot be ignored in English Language classrooms all over the world. Our university aims to train high-English leveled students who have at least B1 /pre-intermidate level/ up tp C1 /advanced level/ CEFR. Standardized English tests are an important requirement for international students. International English Exams (EF set, English Score) are widely used worldwide and meet our requirements. To achieve the objective of the study, data was gathered on exams by engineering students who are studying English at MUST. A total of 800 students who are studying General English at MUST participated in the study by taking exams. Data gathered was analyzed using SPSS. The results of the study were presented in tables and figures. The analysis conducted showed that Reading, Listening, Grammar &Vocabulary skills with 0-600 scores. Exams are taken 3 times /9th week, 13th week, 16th week/ in a term (lasts 16-week). A progress survey is conducted based on the results of 3 examinations and the results are summarized. The goal of our paper is to elicit which exam will provide our training requirement properly. In order to achieve the goal, we compared all 3-exam scores for each student and concluded the result in advance.
