ANALYZING GRADUATE STUDENTS’ PERCEPTIONS ON TRANSLANGUAGING IN ENGLISH FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS CLASS : PLURILINGUALISM AND TRANSLANGUAGING
Translanguaging is an approach to language, bilingualism, and bilingual education that encourages learners to use all available linguistic resources without separating them. It is crucial for enhancing student learning in the modern era. It is necessary to investigate the beliefs of graduate students regarding language use. The current study investigated the perspectives of graduate students at Buriram Rajabhat University on translanguaging practices. The data were gathered using survey and interview tools. Descriptive statistics were employed to evaluate the quantitative data, whereas content analysis was utilized to assess the qualitative data. The research findings indicated that graduate students held a highly favorable attitude towards translanguaging and expressed strong endorsement for its utilization in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom. Furthermore, most of the interview participants voiced a favorable consensus on the idea that translanguaging improves students' competency in several parts of the English language.
